Babies don’t run on your time schedule.
Momma’s don’t run on baby’s time schedule.
We each have our own ideal schedule of how we think things should go. As a mom, we have to find that happy place where we are both satisfied. That’s hard work sometimes, but worth it in the end.
The other day I was feeding my 5 month old some baby food and he was just not happy with my performance. I was not getting that spoon full to his mouth quick enough and he was letting me know about it too. He was so frustrated just staring at the food container and the spoon and reaching for my hands to make the process quicker. He all the sudden stopped and rubbed his eyes for a minute. He was getting tired. When he was done he opened his eyes and they opened on me. He saw me instead of the food container, the spoon, and my hands. He saw Momma instead. The one who was feeding him. He gave me the biggest smile and was so sweet and patient and ate until he was finished. The whole time remaining he had his eyes on me. I was giving him what he wanted and he was happy.
Isn’t it like that with God sometimes? We know what we want/what we need but it’s like He’s just not giving it to us fast enough, or at least not on our time schedule. We get frustrated knowing what we need, seeing it all, but it just seems out of reach, or so we think. We get tired and weary because we wear ourselves out from worrying and stressing over things that we have no control over. Maybe we just need to spiritually rub our eyes sometimes so we can wake up to reality and realize where our focus is. When we get our focus on God instead of our problems we can experience a better happiness in life and peace. God also knows and see what we need and what we want. He operates on His time schedule. He knows what’s best and when it is the best time. Our job is to keep our eyes on Him — not on what we need, want, expect; problems, etc..
God has perfect timing; Never early, never late. It takes a little patience and a whole lot of faith… But it’s worth the wait.
I know this for a fact first hand! I waited 6 years after God gave me a promise of what I wanted. It was so much easier at times to focus on the problem of it all instead of the problem solver. I wonder at times if I would have received my miracle sooner had I had been more attentive to God and His perfect timing. I would focus more on why I didn’t have it instead of, “God, your timing is best.” I would focus more on what I could do to fix it instead of, “God, I give it to you; You fix it.” I would focus more on the mess of it all instead of, “God, get the glory out of this.”
Peter knew what it was like. He focused on the sea and waves more than the Peace Speaker. Once he realized his mistake, he got his focus corrected. He got his eyes on Jesus.
Mary and Martha learned that God’s timing was always right. There brother had been dead 4 days. They called for Jesus while he was still alive but to them he was late. Jesus sure proved them wrong when we called him out from the grave.
God is never late to a scene. He just operates on His own time schedule.
It’s a much more pleasant view to turn your eyes on Jesus than it is the problems. It’s more of a pleasant journey to trust His timing instead of our own.
Gods timing is always perfect.
Trust in Him!

This is so good. Thank you for the reminder! ❤
